Academy Productions are a chance for the next generation of performers to put their knowledge of theatrical craft and artistry into practice and gives them a chance to stand A.P.A.R.T. from their adult counterparts and have their moments in the spotlight to shine. 

​

We offer students registered in our Academy Productions a rich collection of professional and personal development opportunities throughout the rehearsal process.  Something new we will offer with every show your child is cast in, is  An Actor's Lab Workshop tailored to the show they are in--this can include a Mini-Acting Masterclass or a Workshop with an Industry Guest Artist to gain valuable insight, tips, tricks, and insider knowledge they can then take and apply to their performances. Additionally, each production is staffed with experienced, dedicated, and professional teaching staff and coaches that help students learn, explore, and discover acting, dancing, and voice techniques and who are invested and committed to helping each student identify personal areas of strength and opportunity to help students improve their performances, confidence, and self-esteem.

AUDITION TIME: 3:00PM - 5:00PM

OPEN TO  YOUTH PERFORMERS AGES 11 - 13 (AS OF SEPTEMBER 2020)  AND TEEN PERFORMERS (HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AS OF SEPTEMBER 202) 

​

THIS MUSICAL REVUE WILL DIVIDE THE SHOW INTO TWO AGE GROUPS.

​

Our young performers (ages 11 - 13) will be featured in Act 1 and our teen performers (High School students) will be featured in Act 2.

 

We will be creating two age-appropriate themed acts around the encompassing concept of Unmasked to highlight the different challenges and uplifting moments that children and teens have faced over the last few months.

***ALL AUDITIONS FOR THIS NEW DATE WILL REQUIRE THOSE AUDITIONING TO REGISTER ONLINE FOR A SPECIFIC TIME SLOT TO HELP US IN MAINTAINING PROPER SOCIAL DISTANCING AND ENSURING PROPER HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES PER LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL GUIDELINES. WALK UPS ARE DISCOURAGED FOR THIS AUDITION***

ABOUT THE SHOW

This is a brand new collaborative musical review expressing the challenges, hopes, and dreams of teenagers during this unprecedented time of their lives.  This musical revue will include both individual and group numbers with an emphasis on input from our cast members!

 

WHAT TO PREPARE FOR AUDITIONS:

Please prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song that has meaning to you with respect to your experiences over the last few months or your hopes for the future as we “unmask”. 

 

Some examples could include songs that helped you through difficult times, songs you weren’t able to perform due to cancellations, songs from shows that you missed seeing due to the Broadway closure or songs that express your dreams of things to come! 

 

Be prepared with an introduction to explain why the song is meaningful to you.  

 

Please also be prepared for a movement audition if requested.
